Thanksgving

Jessica's feast and program at preschool.

I'm not sure if the pilgrims and indians ate donuts and cookies,
but Jessica sure loved them!
On Thanksgiving day we went up to St. George to spend it with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. I don't have many pictures, but it was SO fun to be with them.
and the food was GREAT!
We are thankful.....
SOOO Thankful!!!

Sister's Weekend 2009

This year for "Sister's Weekend," we decided to go up to my parent's new home and help my mom decortate her new house for Christmas...
We were all there except for one sister....

I can't explain how fun it is to be together and just sit around and talk...
and laugh....
oh yeah, and shop! :)...
Do they look like sisters? They even match!

My dad was the babysitter of little Tahvia...

Oh, I love those big hands!!
All I can say is it went TOOO fast!

Jessica...

...this girls just cracks me up! I've never had a child so concerned about her HAIR!! I know I already posted about her "head-bandaids," but there's way more than that. She wakes up concerned about how her hair looks and if I don't fix it right away, she does. For instance, the other morning she woke up and she must have glanced at her hair in the mirror on her way out of my room because she came up to me in the kitchen, holding her hair back and said, "Mom, my hair isn't beautiful!" I can't remember what I said or did, but I was busy packing lunches. She disappeared and a while later returned with her hair "beautiful."

I LOVE IT! Well, not that she is obsessed with her hair looking good, in fact, that concerns me a little bit. :) But, I love that she did her hair herself and loves it. I knew she would want me to take pictures of this so she can look back someday and smile like I am smiling. Here are some side shots. Notice the colorful clips on the side. She was serious about this hairdo!

Then this morning she came out ready with her hair done again. Check out this do!

I love this girl!

Halloween Week

Halloween is never just one day....it's full of multiple parties, pumpkin carving night, trunk-or-treat and trick-or-treating. We had such a great time this year...
Pumpkin Carving at the Downeys
(with the Fifes and Wagners too)

Pumpkin guts....not my favorite! :)

This year while I was buying the carving tools at the store, I found a new kit to decorate pumpkins. I bought it for Megs and Jessica. They LOVED hammering the posts into the pumpkin!

And so did the other little kids!

The Downeys had Christmas lights all over their trees outside because there was a wedding reception in their backyard the weekend before. It was fun to carve pumpkins under the Christmas lights! :)
Thanks Downeys!...We had such a great time!!

Jessica's Preschool Halloween Program
She is so shy and doesn't like much attention so for most of the program she was like this with her face covered..
or like this, turning to the side so no one could see her face...
but by the end she did warm up a little!

Mark's office annual Halloween dress up day...
(biker theme)

Here's the front office...

and the back office at work....
and how would you like this guy straitening your teeth???
Halloween Day...the costumes!
For Halloween, Rachel wanted to be a cave girl, Tommy wanted to be a vampire and Sam wanted to be a Cowboy. PERFECT! I had most of those costumes and this year was going to be easy. But after seeing Mark's costume, the three oldest kids changed their minds. They liked the idea of black clothes, earings and tattoos! I cringe as I look at these pictures, but here they are....
Yes, this was a frightening night looking at my kids dressed up like this!

Even if it only helps a little, I liked her way better with a smile! :)
And thank goodness for my sweet little girls who still like to dress up like sweet, innocent things!

My Fairy Princess...
And my little kitty-cat...

They had so much fun at our ward's trunk-or-treat/carnival and then trick-or treating around our neighborhood!

Here is Mark and his two friends Dave and Jason. They were all in dental school together and now we are all in the same ward! Way to go Jason for having a little Halloween spirit!

By the end of the night, we were all exhausted, even on a sugar high!
Hope you had a Happy Halloween!
