BABY HEAVEN!!!

(at least those were Mark's words describing last weekend.) And he was right! He was right because he knows how much all of us in the Truman home have been trying to accept that I am done having babies. It's something that just feels right, Mark and I have our hands full with the five we have. And as much as our kids beg and beg for another one and I long to have another little newborn around again, we also know that our family is complete. (At least Mark and I know, but our kids still keep begging for more.) So this last week and weekend has been so fun for me.
My really good friend and next door neighbor had her sixth baby last week. We had our last five together, so it's really weird for her to have another baby while my baby is three years old! But it was so fun to go see this beautiful little girl!

My kids couldn't stop rubbing her soft little head!

and her soft little feet!

They just loved holding this little girl! It was so cute because the next couple of days after that, Megan kept saying, "Ohhhh, I just can't stop thinking about the cute little baby....She's just SOOOO cute!" She told me that sentence over and over again!
Then Friday, my sister showed up with her little newborn baby girl.

It started all over again. The kids loved holding her and so did I!

When my sister left on Saturday, I got to watch my friends baby for a couple hours. I wasn't the only one enjoying it! (Nothing like sitting on the couch watching a good football game and holding a sleeping newborn!)

She was just so cute and little that I had to snap some pictures.

Yep, Mark was definitely right...BABY HEAVEN!!

Rachel's Social Studies Project

Rachel (and Mark) finished her social studies project. She chose to do it on the Handcart Companies this year. They did a fine job!

I love the people that Rachel made! AND THE HANDCART!!.....it was awesome thanks to Mark's great engineering skills! :) Here's a close up...

Mark was very proud of the wheels and axle that REALLY WORKED. You should have seen this thing roll!! Too bad it had to get glued down and no one ever appreciated the design and engineering in all of this!

Great job Rach!!

Williams Girl's Weekend 2009

One of my favorite weekends! No boys allowed! (except for baby Jack, my nieces little boy!) :)
We started out at the only place that will seat about 30 people in a party without looking at us like we were crazy! None other than...

Here are most of us. A few showed up later...

Yum...gotta love the food, but ESPECIALLY the company!

Then we were off to the musical ANNIE!!

A bunch of Girls + the musical Annie = A Gooooood Time!!

There were lots of smiles, even the babies liked it! :)

(That cute lady above with the big smile is my mom! )

Here are Jessica and Megan with some of the cast. These orphan girls were so so cute!!

On Saturday morning we had a surprise baby shower for my sister Sandy. She was pregnant with her EIGHTH child!! After the last three children being boys, she was going to have a girl!!! So, we decided to have a surprise baby shower. We pulled it off by telling her we were going to my niece's house for breakfast (my niece just move to St. George so we all wanted to see her new house). My sister was surprised!!

Here's my sister with her girls...

Here is our beautiful hostess....

There was such yummy food...
We played Pin the binky on the baby game...

Baby memory game...

The classic candy-bar diaper game...

And this hilarious "pass the binky" game. This was some serious fun!!

The girls made hair bows for the baby (which turned into making hair clips for themselves!) :)

And of course my mom had to bring her quilting frames to make a quilt for the baby...

There were lots of cute baby girl presents...

By the time the shower was over, my sister was threatening me with my life if I took one more picture of her...

(She doesn't scare me!! :)

Phew, we all had a great time but the party wasn't over....we headed out to go shopping. I think we scared all the shoppers out of the Downeast store! :) We were surprised by a visitor while shopping...

If you look at the above picture and sing, "One of these things is not like the other," you might see our visitor!
Meet my brother Ben.

No, he usually doesn't look like a girl, but he is a big jokster! He wore a wig and dressed as a girl to see if he could pass for a sister so he could be part of our weekend. I think he needs therapy! :)
I would hate to end my post with that picture, so here's to a great Girl's weekend!
