Mark took the week before Father's Day off so he could go to scout camp. It ended up that he only had to be there for two days. So, I decided to plan and surprise him with a family trip. I decided to go somewhere a little different than our usual Southern California trips. I booked a trip for us in Midway, Utah. I know, where is that? It's a little town close to Heber and about 15 mins from Park City. On the way up there, we stopped at my parents to eat dinner and say hi. My dad was so excited to take the kids out to pick strawberries.

While I was helping my mom make dinner, I looked over and Jessica was sitting on the couch with my dad, talking his ear off! She is turning into a little chatter-box!
Then we headed up to our little resort in Midway. It was like a little Swiss Village, up against a beautiful green mountain. There were many times that I wanted to bust out singing, "The Hills are alive, with the Sound of Music!" I felt like we were there! :)
I have so many pictures of this trip. It was just so beautiful and we were having so much fun that I just couldn't help myself. I just have to document this trip. If anyone is reading this, just sit back, relax, and enjoy a ton of pictures!

Goat Feeding...(There were goats that you could feed on the resort's property. One of the kid's favorite things to do!)
They also had a carousel on the property that you could ride (for a small fee).
Park City
We spent part of one day in Park City.
Mark, Rachel and Tommy did the zip line while the younger kids rode the little rides.
We all rode on the Alpine slide and coaster. Jessica rode with Mark. He went full speed and Jessica LOVED it! She kept begging to go again. I think it was the highlight of the trip for her!

This is my shout out to Mark for Father's Day. He is the best dad! Who wouldn't want him for a dad?
Homestead...
My sister and her family came the last night and stayed with us. We went across the street to a different resort to play. They had a lot of outdoor stuff to do. They had big shade trees and the weather was perfect!
I had no idea Mark was so good at horseshoe!
Mark and I also played a mean game of tennis against my sister and brother-in-law. We lost! :) We could have stayed at this place all night, but we headed off to a "pow-wow." Pretty much we just watched some Native American dancing...

We also enjoyed the best corn on the cob and navajo tacos!
Fishing in the Provo River...
My brother-in-law took the boys fishing. Mark was the only one who caught something.
Right outside our hotel door was a tree with a nest and some cute little birds. It was so fun to sit and watch the mama bird feed them!
It was really hard to say goodbye to this beautiful place.
There were a lot of great things about this trip. The weather was PERFECT! It was between 70-80 degrees the whole time! It was nice to be able to enjoy the mountains and the outdoors. But the BEST part of the trip was just spending time together.
On the way home we had one last activity.

While we were on the train, there was a "train robbery." It was cute!
We rode the train to the Provo River where we got off and rafted down the river.
